Description Caño Cristales
Caño Cristales is the most beautiful river in Colombia and perhaps of the whole world. The river is located in the southern Meta department in National Park Serrania de la Macarena. During this magical experience, you can see how the water flow highlights the algae and marine formations and how the different colors creating a beautiful setting. This unique natural phenomenon awakens all the senses. It’s the perfect opportunity to make some amazing photos.
Day 1: Villavicencio – La Macarena
- In the morning you are going from Villavicencio to La Macarena (this is a 1 hour and 30 minutes drive). Depending on arrival time in the afternoon there will be a short route to the river or the viewpoint of crystallite Guayabero river.
- Accommodation at the camp “Portal del Llano” 2 km of la Macarena. You can arrange hotel accommodation in the village.
Day 2: La Macarena – Caño Cristales
Navigation on the river 5 minutes Guayabero then a tour of 8km by car and finally a 2km walk to the river walk. Tracing the central arm of Caño crystals (5-7 hours). It is the time spent in walking his beat, enjoy the waterfalls, swim, relax and have lunch. Return in the afternoon to the camp / hotel.
Day 3: Caño Cristales
Today you are going up the right part of Caño crystals (5-7 hours). In each of our tours we will visit the most representative places. Return to camp / hotel.
Day 4: La Macarena – Villavicencio
The last day you will be flying back to La Macarena Villavicencio, then overland to Bogota.
